Our next Concert + Jam will feature an evening of Sandhya Sanjana's music - a crossover of Hindustani/ Carnatic Music and various other genres.  Known for using her voice as an instrument for improvisation, Sandhya Sanjana brings her Indian classical vocal training into conversation with jazz and global music traditions to dazzling effect. The concert will be followed by a jam session at 9:00pm - all are welcome. If you are a musician, sign up for the jam session here!

About the Artists

SANDHYA SANJANA (Hindi: संध्या) is a singer from Mumbai, India. She is one of the first Indian singers to have experimented with combining Indian classical vocals with contemporary western styles. Her career began at a young age and she has appeared on over 30 albums of various genres. She has performed globally with her various musician friends.

ARUN RAMAMURTHY (Brooklyn, NY) is a multifaceted violinist, composer and educator based in Brooklyn, NY, and is a disciple of the celebrated Carnatic violinist brothers, Sri Mysore Nagaraj & Dr. Mysore Manjunath and the esteemed violinist Sri Ananthakrishnan. He is a versatile artist, performing internationally in both traditional Carnatic and Hindustani settings.

INDOFUNK SATISH started playing the trumpet in 5th grade, and around the same time developed a fascination with science. He has played extensively in NYC and all over the world with his unique Fire Bird trumpet.
